Critical Winterization: 70 Stoves for Liberated Lyman

Pillar: Relief & Community | Location: Lyman | Sponsor: Krohn Breakthrough Foundation

Lyman, a city in the Donetsk region, bears the heavy scars of occupation and liberation. While the frontline has moved, the infrastructure crisis remains. With the electrical grid destroyed and gas lines severed, residents living in damaged homes are facing winter with zero centralized heating.

To prevent a humanitarian catastrophe, we executed a multi-agency operation to deliver 70 wood-burning stoves to the community.

The Coalition This delivery was a testament to effective operational partnerships.

Decentralized Survival In a city where the power grid is non-functional, these stoves are the primary life-support system. They allow residents to burn available wood fuel to heat specific rooms in shell-damaged houses, enabling them to survive the winter without relying on restored state infrastructure.
