Ternopil: Powering Warmth and Stability
Pillar: Relief & Infrastructure | Impact: 80 Residents Supported
On December 12, 2022, our team delivered a critical power generator and essential household appliances to a communal housing facility in Ternopil, currently home to 80 displaced Ukrainians.
While Ternopil serves as a refuge away from the zero line, the energy infrastructure remains fragile. Residents currently face a harsh reality: on a "good day," access to electricity is limited to just 2-4 hours. However, when the infrastructure is targeted by missile strikes, these families often face blackout conditions lasting 24 hours or longer.
For a communal center housing 80 people, a lack of power isn't just an inconvenience—it is a health and safety crisis. This donation changes the daily reality for these residents. The installation of this generator ensures that the blackout schedule no longer dictates their survival. It means the facility can keep homes warm during the freezing nights, parents can ensure their children have hot meals, and there is consistent access to hot water for hygiene.
We are deeply grateful to @krohnbreakthrough for funding this essential lifeline and to @alliedextract for your continued support of the Ukrainian people. This contribution does more than generate electricity; it restores certainty and dignity to families rebuilding their lives.
