40 Pallets of Hygiene Aid to Water-Scarce Zones

Pillar: Relief & Community | Volume: 40 Pallets | Partners: Wet Ones, Ukraine Trust Chain, World of Giving

In the active combat zones of Kherson, Bakhmut, and Zaporizhzhia, the destruction of municipal infrastructure has created a silent crisis: the lack of running water. For frontline workers in trenches and civilians in shelled cities, the inability to wash poses severe health risks, ranging from skin infections to rapid disease transmission.

To address this "WASH" (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene) gap, we coordinated a massive logistical delivery of 40 pallets of Wet Ones antibacterial wipes.

The Logistics of Hygiene Moving 40 pallets of high-density cargo requires precise coordination. This operation was a masterclass in partnership:

  • The Asset: Donated by Wet Ones, providing top-tier antibacterial supplies.

  • The Facilitators: Organized through World of Giving and executed on the ground with our partners at Ukraine Trust Chain.

Tactical Application These supplies were not sent to storage; they were pushed immediately to the "Grey Zones" where water is scarce or contaminated:

  • For Defenders: In places like Bakhmut, these wipes allow aid workers to maintain basic hygiene in freezing, muddy trenches, preventing trench foot and infection when showers are impossible.

  • For Civilians: In Kherson and Dnipro, where power outages often disable water pumps, these packs provide families with a water-independent method to clean hands, surfaces, and food packaging.
