Nutritional Security: 150 Standardized Aid Kits for Korostyshiv IDPs

IDP

Pillar: Relief & Community | Location: Korostyshiv | Volume: 150 Units

Korostyshiv has become a quiet hub for families displaced from the east. Responding to a direct request for support in the hometown of our team member, Zhanna, we mobilized a targeted distribution of 150 Standardized Relief Kits to IDPs living in the community.

We don't believe in random acts of charity; we believe in calculated support. These packages were not filled with random items, but were engineered to be a comprehensive "Life-Support" unit.

Each 10kg kit is designed to support two people for one week with a total nutritional value of 28,693 calories (approx. 2,000 calories/person/day), while simultaneously providing a full month of essential hygiene supplies.

We curated the contents to ensure families could cook complete meals and maintain personal dignity:

  • Proteins: 2 packages of meat (600g), 2 cans of tuna (300g), 3 cans of beans (1.6kg).

  • Carbohydrates: 2 bags of pasta (1kg), 1kg rice, 1kg flour, 4 packs of noodles.

  • Essentials: 1L Oil, 1kg Sugar, 40 bags of tea, 4 packs of coffee.

  • Morale: 1 pack of olives, 4 chocolate wafer bars.

  • WASH (Hygiene): Laundry detergent (1kg), Domestos bleach (1L), soap, toothpaste, toothbrushes, razors, and feminine hygiene products.

Impact By combining high-calorie staples with critical sanitation products (like bleach and detergent), these kits provide more than just food; they provide stability. This delivery ensures that 150 families can cook hot meals, clean their living spaces, and maintain hygiene standards without the stress of immediate scarcity.
