Into the Liberated Zone: 700 Care Packages for Kherson
Pillar: Relief & Community | Location: Kherson | Context: Immediate Post-Liberation
On November 11, 2022, Kherson was liberated after months of Russian occupation. On November 15, we were there.
For months, the civilians of Kherson were cut off from international aid, living under a blockade of basic resources. As soon as the territory was secured and the roads were deemed passable, we didn't wait for permission—we rushed to get aid out.
We deployed a shipment of 700 humanitarian care packages immediately into the city.
The Cargo: These aren't just snacks. Each package is our standard nutritional unit—containing enough calories to sustain a family, restoring food security to households that have been rationing for months.
The Message: Beyond the calories, this delivery served a crucial purpose. It was physical proof to the residents of Kherson that they were not forgotten, and that the supply lines to the free world were open again.
The occupation is over. The work of rebuilding has just begun.
