Local Manufacturing: 35 Wood-Burning Stoves for the Grey Zone
Pillar: Relief & Community | Location: Zarichne, Donetsk Oblast | Production: Custom Fabrication
In the frontline communities of Donetsk Oblast, specifically in Zarichne, centralized utilities have long been severed. With no electricity or gas, survival in winter relies entirely on decentralized heating—specifically, wood-burning stoves.
To meet this critical need, we bypassed standard retail supply chains and moved directly to manufacturing.
Commissioning the Supply Chain We contracted local metalworkers and welders to fabricate 35 heavy-duty wood-burning stoves. This strategy achieved a dual impact:
Economic Support: By commissioning local labor, we injected funds directly into the Ukrainian workforce rather than paying import markups.
Durability: These units were built to specific field requirements—rugged, simple, and capable of burning whatever fuel is available.
Last-Mile Delivery Manufacturing was only half the battle. Our team transported these 35 units directly into the "Grey Zone" of Zarichne, where residents live under the constant threat of shelling. These stoves provide the only reliable source of heat for families holding on in one of the most dangerous sectors of the country.
