Local Support: 300 Care Packages for Displaced Families

Pillar: Relief & Community | Location: Chernivtsi | Impact: 300 Families (IDPs)

While the vast majority of our logistics are aimed at the eastern frontlines, we cannot ignore the crisis unfolding in our own backyard. Western Ukraine has become a massive refuge for millions, and the strain on local resources is immense.

Alongside our major eastward shipments, we allocated 300 Care Packages specifically for Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and disabled individuals currently sheltering here in Chernivtsi.

Safety from artillery does not mean a return to normal life.

  • The Reality: Many of the recipients of these bags are living in schools, abandoned hotels, and gymnasiums. They have lost their homes or cannot return to occupied territories.

  • The Shelter: The distribution pictured took place at a local school that has been converted into a collective center, currently housing 50 people who have nowhere else to go.

Supporting these families is just as critical as supplying the front. By providing food and hygiene staples to those in temporary shelters, we give them a small measure of independence and dignity while they wait for the day they can finally go home.
