Direct Action: 500 Aid Kits & Critical Infrastructure with Krohn Breakthrough Foundation
Pillar: Relief & Community | Partner: Krohn Breakthrough Foundation | Impact: $10,000 Allocation
There is no substitute for seeing the reality of the war with your own eyes. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting our partners from the Krohn Breakthrough Foundation here in Ukraine. Facilitated by our friends at Allied Extract, this visit allowed the Foundation to witness the immediate needs of displaced communities firsthand.
During this visit, the Foundation committed a $10,000 tranche for immediate deployment. We wasted no time converting these funds into critical aid.
We targeted this funding toward vulnerable populations that often slip through the cracks of large-scale aid:
Food Security: 500 Family Care Bags. These comprehensive packages provide a month’s supply of food staples and hygiene products, designed to support families of 3-4 people facing economic hardship.
Institutional Support: 20 Heat Lamps & 10 Kettles for the Borodyanka Psychoneurological Facility. This facility cares for patients with severe needs. These appliances are vital for maintaining warmth and providing hot water/meals in a facility where infrastructure is strained.
Energy Autonomy: 1 High-Capacity Battery Unit deployed to a group of displaced Ukrainians currently living in a converted train car. This unit provides essential power for lighting and charging devices, turning a temporary shelter into a livable space.
The Krohn Breakthrough Foundation has contributed over $200,000 to humanitarian causes in Ukraine to date. This specific delivery highlights their commitment to flexible, rapid-response aid that solves immediate problems for the people who need it most.
