Thermal Defense: Deploying Smokeless Heat to the Zero Line

Pillar: Defence | Asset: 250 Stoves / 10k Heat Packs | Integrated Logistics

General Winter is a formidable enemy in Ukraine. On the Zero Line, hypothermia can degrade a unit's combat effectiveness as fast as enemy fire. The challenge is paradoxically simple: soldiers need heat to survive, but lighting a wood fire creates smoke that attracts enemy artillery.

To solve this tactical dilemma, we deployed a specialized thermal support package alongside our nutritional aid to the same units in Bakhmut, Kharkiv, and Zaporizhzhia.

The Hardware: 250 Smokeless Propane Units We delivered 250 propane stove/heater hybrids designed for trench environments. Unlike wood stoves, these units offer a critical tactical advantage: Signature Management.

  • Visual Stealth: Propane burns clean, eliminating the smoke columns that give away positions to drones.

  • Integrated Utility: These units serve a dual purpose. They provide radiant heat for bunkers and act as the boiling mechanism for the 46,000 water-activated meal packs we delivered simultaneously. This created a self-contained "fuel and food" ecosystem for the troops.

The Consumables: 10,000 Chemical Heat Packs For soldiers on guard duty or reconnaissance who cannot be near a stove, we deployed 10,000 chemical heating packs. These provide hours of localized warmth for hands and feet, preventing frostbite and maintaining the finger dexterity required to operate weapons and radios in sub-zero temperatures.

Operational Impact This was not a random drop; it was a cohesive life-support system. By pairing clean-burning stoves with high-protein rations, we ensured that defenders could stay warm, fed, and hidden in the harshest sectors of the war.
