In the world of drone operations, while "specs" matter, availability matters more. The best drone is the one you have with you when you need to see over a wall or around a corner.

Thanks to an incredibly generous private donor, we received and immediately deployed 50 Parrot Anafi drones.

While these units are more compact than the heavy-lift platforms we often use, receiving 50 of them allows us to equip a massive number of teams simultaneously.

• The Utility: The Anafi is quiet, portable, and quick to launch. For units needing short-range situational awareness—whether checking a route for safety or assessing damage in a humanitarian context—these tools are invaluable.

• The Coverage: Distributing 50 drones means 50 more teams now have "eyes in the sky" rather than operating blind.

Operational tempo has been so high lately that we completely forgot to stage a photo shoot before these went out the door! We prioritized getting them into the hands of operators over getting the perfect Instagram shot. They are already out in the field, doing the work.
